SAN FRANCISCO — The Coast Guard suspended its search for a 23-year-old male who was on board a sailing vessel that capsized with two other people onboard near Ocean Beach, Calif., today.
Coast Guard Station Golden Gate, Air Station San Francisco and the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a report of three people in the water at 2:30 p.m. near Ocean Beach. The San Francisco Fire Department recovered two of the victims from the water and transported them to emergency medical service representatives. The two victims were taken to the University of California Hospital.
Coast Guard units searched for the third victim and after all probabilities of survival were exhausted, suspended their search.
The San Francisco Park Police and the San Francisco Police Department are investigating the accident.
