| Icing Queen   |  Deployment My nephew, Matt, is deploying with the 1460th Transportation Guards, leaving tomorrow for a couple weeks in Texas before going to Iraq. This will be his third tour in Iraq. He volunteered to go this time. This isn't his unit. There was a farewell ceremony this afternoon, which I attended. It was very moving. I knew several people there and had friends and relatives there with people who are going. The printed program said the closing song would be God Bless America, but a young woman sang God Bless The U.S.A. (changing the part about having a wife). I have to admit, it wasn't just others with tears in their eyes. God Bless the U.S.A. by Lee Greenwood The unit should return next July 1st. The last time this unit went to Iraq, in 2003, one of their men died, so they know the risks. They'll be guarding a prison.
