| unrepentant grunt ![]() | R/T I was there in my youth we are talking 1970. I was there for R&R. To be honest I chased girls and drank most of the time. I did waste some time on sleeping and showers. but I dont think I could be of any help.

| Racy Ol' Lady ![]() | Phil, I have a friend in Perth (and an enemy in Brisbane, but we won't go into that). If you have specific questions, I could ask her. But she's not in the Melbourne area -- Perth is a long way from there. She has a son in Sydney and goes there from time to time. That's a long way too. We're talking about different ends of a continent the size of the US. My daughter-in-law spent four or five years in Melbourne as a teen -- she's now 49, I believe -- thereabouts. Her sister married a man in the Australian Navy, but she died a couple years ago. Other than a plane trip around seven of the eight Hawaiian islands in the company of Australian tourists about 20 years ago, those are my only connections with Australia.

| Icing Queen ![]() | I would love to go there. If you do move there, Phil, be sure to keep in contact and tell us what it's like. Would you be moving with the military, or are you getting out?
