November's photo contest is now open!!!! As a reminder here's the rules. They are also posted in each group/category as well.

The 11th of many of Trackpads Monthly contest is now open. Entry dates are November 2 ends November 23. Polls: Nov 24 ends Nov 30

Here's the Rules there are some changes:

Rules and other information pertaining to the Monthly photography Contest.

PURPOSE: This contest is to encourage members to not only upload their photographs into their personal or other gallery here on Trackpads. But to actually display their work for others to actually see them without needing to do a search through the many galleries. Furthermore, in doing so, it will allow fellow members to recognize photographs and the photographers with awards. And hopefully tart a growing interest in the various forms of photography, through threads discussing techniques, styles, etc.

ENTRÉE CLASSES:

group:

1. Black and White Negative: (original b/w negative or digital image or converted color image)
2. Color Negative:
3. Color Transparency (slide) (original film)
4. Digital Images; (digital camera)

CATEGORIES:

A. Military (any theme that covers all aspects of the military. Need to be easily identified as Military)
B. People (Any image with people, excluding MILITARY)
C. Scenic (Scenic, still life, nature, etc. No People allowed in the image)
D. Experimental (Any image that does not fall into the above 3 categories, altered by computer program, none standard photograph taking, IE: multi-exposure, reversal, polarizations, solarization, etc. ALSO MUST INCLUDE: short explanation how it was achieved)

RULES:

1. Submitters can not enter more then 1 image per category and group. In other words, a submitter may submit 4 images per group such as:
Color Negative: 1 Military, 1 People, 1 Scenic, 1 experimental.

2. Once a photo has won, it will no longer be allowed to compete. IF IT DOES GET RE-SUBMITTED THAT MEMBER WILL BE BANNED FROM COMPETING FOR A PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS.

3. Submitters may not vote in any group they have submitted photographs in.

4. Each Category will be limited to the first 10 entries. This is because the max option with poll vote is limited to 10 options.

Best of Show (1 per month and 1 per year, most votes)
1st Place (awarded for most votes in each category)
2nd Place (awarded for 2nd most votes in each category)
3rd Place (awarded for 3rd most votes in each category)

PRIZES

Best of Show: $3000 Tucks
1st Place: $500 Tbucks
2nd Place: $250 Tbucks
3rd Place: $125 Tbucks

Quarterly Best Of Show

1st Place: $5000
2nd Place: $2000
3rd Place:$1000
