| Icing Queen   |  Village church steeple to hide cell tower ITASCA, Ill. (UPI) -- A church in a village west of Chicago has found a new source of income by offering to hide a cell phone transmission tower in its 100-year-old steeple. Last month, the planning council of Itasca voted to allow T-Mobile to erect a tower in the village as long as it didn't look like a tower. The phone company realized calls were being dropped right in the vicinity of the church and decided to ask Itasca Baptist Church Pastor Charles Gateley about a deal. Gateley told the Chicago Tribune there is no down side to the 25-year leasing agreement, which will pay the church $1,700 per month. T-Mobile said its equipment can be modified to fit into the steeple, which is the highest structure in the village, the report said.
