Duct Tape

I've been inspired by the message in a bottle thread.

What have you fixed with duct tape. I actually used it on duct work once, ha ha ha ha........oh yea.........it was the boring gray color

I've used it for a good many things over the years, John. Mostly sealing packages to be mailed. Pretty stable stuff!

Used duck tape on everything but the kitchen sink. Including using blue duct tape holding a part to the riding lawn mower so the mower would engaged.

I used duct tape years ago when the plumbing under the kitchen sink went bad. It was metal and so soft that you could dent it with your finger and leaking badly. The entire setup was duct-taped with multiple layers until I finally got the money together to have it all replaced by a plumber.

So. many. things. I once completely coated the underside of my entry-way rug with duct tape so it wouldn't scoot around when you opened the front door over it. I've used it in my car, in my dorm room (when I was in college) and apartment, on packages to be mailed, on the web of cords behind my computer, to hold together furniture, on martial arts weapons (to keep from breaking), as a bra... Always the gray/silver-looking version.

I think the only thing it doesn't work well with is anything that's hairy/fuzzy.

Alright, this is more like it........lets have some more........

I used it to hold a tarp over a camper for the winter..........trying to get it off the alum camper sides in the spring was a job.....

I did see some pink Duck Tape at Walgreen today! It was next to the duct tape.

I haven't used duct tape often. Can't even think now what I've used it for. We've always got some around the house, so SOMEONE must be using it!

Using it on the back of an area rug sounds like a good idea.
