Women really are grumpier than men in the morning

CONFIRMING what many men have long believed, a new survey has found women are grumpier than men in the morning.

They are not only grumpier more often, but they stay in a bad mood for longer.

The survey by the Sleep Council in Britain, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of good sleep, found 24pc of men say they never wake up grumpy, as opposed to only 14pc of women. It also found that 13pc of women stayed in a bad mood for two to four hours, compared to 10pc of men.

The survey, published aheadthe clocks going back giving us an extra hour in bed, revealed 41pc of respondents believe lack of sleep is the main reason for being cranky in the morning.

Only 9pc of women sleep well every night, compared to 15pc of men.

Almost a third of women blamed their partner's snoring for their trouble sleeping, while only 13pc of men named their wife's snoring as problem.

"As men appear to sleep better than women, perhaps it's not surprising that more women than men get out of bed on the wrong side." Women also tend to have more to do in the morning before leaving the house, Ms Alexander said.

"Our survey showed that 28pc of them as opposed to only 5pc of men do any housekeeping before going to work," she said. "It also tends to be them that prepares the breakfast, spends time with the children, check their emails and attend to their beauty regime. "Women far outweigh men in having a busy and packed morning." In comparison, 17pc of men spend only 10 minutes on their wake up and get out routine.

Yes they are. Take this for an example Prior to going to bed every night I insure that my Small Arms are secure. Then I place all of Mommas 3 Alarm Clocks out of her reach. When I get up in the morning I Tip Tow out of the Bedroom. Why you might ask ? I am Not Stupid Enough To Wake Her In The Morning.
It takes her at least an hour after she wakes to reshape into Human form. I try not to be around.
