| Non-Commissioned Officer ![]() | I have an essay to share with everyone, I though I would lighten up everything. Maybe it's important to share what I write because I love writing. Well, anyway here it is: Subject: Communication Wednesday, September 06, 2006 The Importance of Communication Since we live in the 21st Century, now we have what’s called technology. We have machines that can do half of our work or more than before the time of The Great Depression. At that time, the world was constantly changing, and something just had to be done to make the world a better place. Now, we have airplanes that can take us from 1 to 12 hours just to get us around the world so we don’t have to take a ship and sail off for three or more days to get somewhere. The rich people become richer, while the poor people become poorer. With the resources that we have now, we begin to communicate more with other people through our technology. And with the technology, we begin to connect our friends, families, and acquaintances, using these resources to communicate better from different parts of the world. When meeting new people, we begin to communicate with one another and living side by side. When we do that, we start seeing the important roles that play in our communication system today. The real importance in communicating is, seeing how different people from different backgrounds learn to communicate in groups; and then, trying to identify how the communication becomes a value of life for other person that receives the end result in meeting the other person from different country or state. People are beginning to live in totally different ways than the places or ways that they were most familiar with before when they were growing up, such as family homes or close friends. For those that came from different races, ethnic backgrounds, or different gender, are all eventually become a part of unity, and they begin to communicate with other people sometime in their life when meeting other different people from different countries. The importance of meeting different types of people from other than my own country becomes very fascinating and interesting. I begin to see and learn the different cultures, values, languages, lifestyles, and the most important: the communication. Without communication, we wouldn’t find what’s going on with the rest of the world. There would be no peace but war, and we wouldn’t have the technology and resources that we have now to help us to connect with other people around the world if we didn’t have the communication like we have now. The diversity in communication becomes important in bringing others together, because we begin to learn not only from ourselves but from others as well. And, when we do that, we start seeing the importance in our lives as we begin to gain knowledge of communication from different people; and that way, we will get along and make a world a better and a comfortable place to live. Military is not just a summer camp, or a running service. It's a service for a country to fight for in the military and support. |

| NCO ![]() | Excellent writing Katerina, I myself have just taken up a creative writing class' and know it is not really as easy as people think to put your thoughts on paper. The real essence of communication is understanding. Understanding the world around us, and that other people might NOT agree with our opinions or views. The best of luck with your writing.
