| Senior Treadhead ![]() | Let me say first off, that being a soldier, I'm a firm believer in the freedoms that we defend. I tend to think along Republican lines (but wish that we could drum up more support for a Federalist Party), but vote for whomever I think is the best man for the time (okay, they tend to be from the GOP more often than not, lol). With that said, what the heck is going on in the Dems party? As an outsider looking in, I can see that if they don't get their collective crap together, they're going to drive their own voters to vote elsewhere. They seem to have this knack for coming off as being very argumentative, two-faced, and stabbing each other in the back at the drop of a hat. Think they have a snowball's chance in hell of pulling off ANY wins next year? |

You cant win an election without going into the center on the issues and Dean is way too far left.

| Senior Treadhead ![]() | Looking at what I think would help their party's run, I agree that Dean isn't it. He's too far to the left, and isn't quite what he is touting himself as (look at his voting record, it doesn't jive with what he's spouting right now). But Gore's move yesterday may be the death knell for any solidarity they may have been able to attain. Now all of them are pointing fingers, hollering about each other. I see a lot of their right-leaning members rolling their eyes and voting somewhere outside of their party. |

In the end I think this is like Rush says, that this is just a plan by the clintons to set up the party for a Hillary take over in 2008. What do you think?
