This is a poem that helped me cope with the difficulty in explaining to other what I did when I was active and deployed when they didn't fully understand. It says alot with very little. Please share this with your son.

I WAS THAT WHICH OTHERS DID NOT WANT TO BE.

I WENT WHERE OTHERS FEARED TO GO, AND DID WHAT OTHERS FAILED TO DO.

I ASKED NOTHING FROM THOSE WHO GAVE NOTHING, AND RELUCTANTLY ACCEPTED THE THOUGHT OF ETERNAL LONELINESS...SHOULD I FAIL.
