Where were you when you heard that President Kennady was assinated? I was driving home from college for the weekend. I'll never forget EXACTLY where I was on that road on that day.

That afternoon I was in a florist shop buying a corsage for my date for my Military School's Military Ball.

It was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NY that night and when I called to find out if it would be called off, they said no because that's what he would have wanted.

You guys can't be that much older than me! I was in 2nd grade and the secretary, Mrs. Evans, came over the PA system and said President Kennedy had been shot. Not long afterwards, she came back and said he had died. Our teacher, Mrs. Fisch, started crying and all the kids were in shock. We were sent home early. For the next few days, everything on TV was about the President, and families watched the funeral together.

I was going on 6 yrs old when this happened. I was sent home early from school and my mom was crying in the livingroom watching TV. She told me he was dead and I started crying too but I did not have much recollection of the President back then givin my age.
