Shepherds from East Turkey curse their bad luck - and the stipidity of the sheeps.They lost 400 sheeps when one after another they jumped in a chasm , reports Turkish media.
Shepherds from Ikizler were gone for a snack , leaving their herd of 1500 ships unwatched. In that very moment one of the sheeps tried to jump over a 15-meters-deep chasm -the rest of the herd followed it. The first 400 sheeps died in the fall but the rest survived- landing "on soft".

My mother used to tell us not to "be like sheep, just following the herd." She grew up on a farm and would not be the least surprised at the sheep behaving in this manner.

I hope they butchered as many as possible before too late. These herds - I wonder if the shepherds were taking care of their own sheep or those of others in the area. In the summer, often many flocks of sheep are together for the season, being marked with various colors to be told apart.

At least, they do that in the Holy Land - so it may be done the same way in Turkey.

The only thing they can do now is have a huge barbecue. I read about this and all the villagers put their sheep into one heard. They are poor people so this is a loss to them.
