We are a list of novelty. Some of us make our money from the Revolutionary War, for others it is a hobby. For some it is a passion. However it is only a novelty, a diversion from the world that is right outside.
We argue about drummers, horse tails, lamp black and how to clean a musket. On the field we pretend to fight each other, portraying a time when we were enemies. We call each other names, and tend to associate
with our own color... red or blue. Ironically the one country that will never turn its back on the United States is England. How this came about is a mystery. At one time we were enemies. Now we are not.
We are separated by many things. Churchill said it was a common language. It could be the food. It could be the politics. At one time we were British. Like a family, the son grew too smart for the father and left. Like a real son and father we fought, bickered and held a grudge. However as the years went by we realized where we came from.
The Liberty of the United States was not born in Philadelphia. It sprouted from Runnymede, Somersetshire, and from London At one time our founding fathers were British. In Special Forces we would visit many countries, sometimes to fight, other times to train. We could tell who owned a country by how they acted. It seemed that a British country would stand in line. The rest would mob around and push and shove. We Americans stand in line. We Americans wait at the traffic light.
We are the children of Britain and we are spread throughout the world. Though I am Irish, I am also Southern and above all I am American, but I also know the face of my father.
Like a family we squabble, we call each other names. Though I can call my father a senile old man, no one else can. Anyone that tries will get a punch in the nose. For some reason those who are not British, nor ever were, think that a few bombs, or a few thousand innocent lives will make us buckle. They must not study history. If the entire Nazi war machine couldn't destroy the will of England, why do they think a few bombs will.
It is laughable. We are united today, in a bond of blood. We have always been united, but on a day like today those of you who are British on this list know that we are at your side. It is not even a question. You know that
we are there. You are always there for us and we stand with you today.

God Bless Great Britain and may we, together as allies, find these terrorists and bring them to justice. They stood behind us after 9/11 and we will stand behind them now. Not just the Government, but the people of this great Nation support them.

Yes - I am in complete accord with this, Paul.

And, Jon - that article is very true of us both - Britain and the U.S. If ever there comes a time when we are the only two free nations on earth, we will remain free together.
