That is too funny - Never had roast moose (or elk) before (obviously never have seen either one up close and personal either). Unfortunately all my meat comes neatly wrapped on pink foam trays wrapped in celophane - never a recognizable animal on my dinner table. But a mere 100 years ago in this country, people did hunt and then serve them up side-by-side with the mashed potatoes. My have times changed!
