Default Book Alert "The Regulars".

The Regulars
The American Army
1898-1941
By Edward M. Coffman

This is a must! It tells the story of life in the Regular Army from the Spainsh American war to the Start of World War II. This book is very readable, it contains a vivid picture of the period and was written with style. Dont loose out this book belongs on the shelf of every student of Military history.

It sounds like the perfect Father's Day give for Bob, Beast - late won't matter. I didn't even give him a card! This will more than make up for it. Thanks!!

The American Army changed so dramatically after 1941 that this would be a subject all unto itself. Over the next 15 years (from 1941) it would swell to the millions, shrink dramatically and then be rebuilt for the Korean War.

I used half.com all throughout my time in college, every semester I saved probably $100 over the the university stores. The best part was I could almost always sell them back for exactly the same I paid for them. A couple times I purchased older versions of the same book, with about 95% of the same material for 1/10th of what the new volume would have cost.

Heck, I can't remember the last time I purchased a book "brand new". Don't think ill start soon either.

I am kinda tied into a half and half thing. I get sent a lot of books free. But I buy a lot of Books for projects. Also I am a Used Book addict. I have a Roll-A-dex full of the names address and if they have one emails of used Book Sztores across the country. Currently on hand I have about 4300 volumes around this place I also have another 3000 in storage. My kids have already placed there dibs on what they want after I am gone.
