So sorry I have been MIA

As most of you know my son is home on leave from a month after returning back from Iraq. This Sunday he heads back to finish up his 4 year enlistment- He should be home no later than December(oh I can hardly wait).
Besides trying to spend as much time with him as he will allow my forum over at EZBoards crashed and was destroyed when they say their servers were "Hacked". So now my support forum has 30 topics and not a single posts. ALL links,Deployment info, care package lists, adfresses, IM name exchanges, Poems, EVERYTHING GONE.
They say their back up system was also hacked but that seems to be creating alot of controversy. I have and will be working trying to get the forum up and running again for my members as soon as EZBoards gives us the go ahead. Please be patient with my absence-These mom's & dad's need a place to vent and get support I have to take care of them and get the forum back up to speed.
I promise to post pictures and tell you all about my son being home and our adventures once I get this mess on my forum fixed

Sorry to hear about your forum. I hope it can be restored soon!

I know you're enjoying your son's visit. I thank God he made it back from Iraq safely.

It's great to see you back and I'm sorry this happened to you. Have you thought about putting your support group into a Club here in Trackpads? It could be a private club, hidden from regular members, and only accessible if you accept them as a member. You could do whatever you wanted in there just like you do now on your site, plus Jason has safeguards built in. Your members would also have access to our site if they chose to.

Think about it.

Thanks for the offer Katie.
I was so mad at the backups being destroyed I wanted to move, so I put up a poll and the members voted- They all are very comfortable at ezboards and love all I have done there to make it "homey" .They want to stay there.It's their money that runs the site so I will do what they wish.

MaryEllen, I wondered if your son was still home - and I'll be so glad in December when he is back for good.

What a shame about your forum; I hope you can reconstruct it quickly so you can come here more often, and mostly so the needs of those who use it can be met. Thanks for letting us know you're okay - we love you and want to keep you!

Let them know the clubs are free, MaryEllen, and no one can get in without your approval.

We could use some banners when you get a chance. Take care of what you need to though. We'll wait.

Edited to add: I forgot they cost TBucks to start, but I will kick in some and know others will too. Also, Jason is very generous with TBucks. This is for a good cause and we all will understand that we are not eligible for it.

I'll talk to you later though when my son is deployed to Afghanistan and see if I would be eligible then.
