I booked my motel reservation for Hawaii. They would only book for 2 weeks so thats what I did.

Now the airline tickets- HUMM still no concrete dates and we have been told that won't happen till they are 10 days away. YIKES prices are gonna soar if I wait till then....What to do, what to do ?

I know book now and cancel if I have to . Then book the correct dates and at a greater expense if my dates are wrong...GRRR

I'll keep you updated-Packing starts the 1st of April

I can't wait to hug my Son and welcome him back to the good old USA.

Mary Ellen, depending on the airline, they may not allow you to cancel with refund but they may give you a credit towards updated dates. Good thoughts and prayers for you! I know you've got to be excited beyond belief!!!

Oh This I did not know- But a credit is good too I guess~I can just use it for the correct dates(I hope).
The excitement is umbearable at times.All I can focus on is Hawaii- This is the first time I will be going there and I do plan to do all the touristy things- Since my son has been stationed there for the past 3 years he knows his way around and can advise me as to the hot spots.
Neither of us has been to Pearl Harbor so we are planning to do that together.He also offered to take me cliff diving-UMMM, I'll pass on that~LOL

I have a brother who lives there, Mary Ellen, so I've been several times. It's just beautiful, and seeing it with your son will beat anything in the world.

If it's hang gliding, I'd do it; but if it's bungee jumping, I would pass on the cliff diving, Mary Ellen. My heart couldn't take that! I'd probably be scared to death hang-gliding too; but that would be worth it.
