| Razak's Roughneck ![]() | Had a worker come door to door today, to register me to vote against "Geroge Bush" this election. When I told him I wasn't a citizen he said tha it was ok and that I could contribute to the campaign! I said "Look pal. Thanks but no thanks. I don't think either of them ought to be in office! Good day!" And closed the door. ![]() Which was a pretty hillarious incident. But makes me think, where are the Republican campaigners? Question :: Is this legal?

| SUGARBUSH ![]() | John. - Technically they can go door to door to offer assistance to register to vote, but once they make the offer they can not deny that assistance even if you say you're going to vote for the 'other guy'. As far as a non-citizen contributing to the campaign, I'm not exactly sure of the rules, but I believe since we're in the post convention period, all monies solicited at this point go to the DNC and not the canidates own campaign, so I suspect this loop hole would probably make it legal. ![]() |
