| Great Seaman ![]() | hey, am fine in miami. dcane lives here too.it missed us and the keys. my folks and sisters live in central fla. and didnt fare too well. they are safe,but sustained roof damage and downed trees.no electric and no water.want to go up to help,but roads are closed in alot of areas. people from tampa are trying to get back home and traffic is like a parking lot.I might have to wait til things are more settled. this thing hit alot of towns in central fla. lots of damage everywhere. tanks for posting this.

| Non-Commissioned Officer ![]() | I am still alive down here in South Central Florida. My property was not damaged. One of our recreation areas down here did not fare well. It is over by Ft. Myers. We lost a lot of trees and a few roof shingles. Big trees are hard to replace...and hard to get cleaned up when they are blown down! Glad to be alive. I survived Hugo too! (I had the eye of Hugo pass over me in NC)
