Needed- A Return To The Principles of The Old Right
Posted 10-12-2008 at 12:26 by Shooterman
There are few of the vanguard of The Old Right left any longer. The Old Right were of those that believed unequivocally in the premises espoused by the founders of our nation. There were some differences in their immediate thoughts, but almost to a man, they were first and foremost, believers in the freedom of men first, the issue of states rights, ( a misnomer, of course ) and the principles of a free market, non intervention into worldly concerns that we had no business being involved in, and specie currency.
The last I can remember were Senator Robert Taft, Senator Barry Goldwater, and in our own present time, Ron Paul.
I believe, as the torch is passed, the Old Right shall cease to exist in the hearts and minds of supposedly most conservatives, and the drift ever leftward will begin to accelerate.
So sayeth the Old Curmudgeon.
