McCain is a dead chicken, in my opinion.

When I was a youngster, my Mom and Grandmother always had a chicken pen with chickens in it. It was not uncommon for Granny to go out, chase a chicken down, grab it by the neck, give it a few hearty twists and then pop the chicken's head off. The chicken, would flop around on the ground, spewing blood, until it died. Then Granny would pluck, clean, and fix the chicken for dinner.

McLame reminds me of those chickens, flopping around, deader that a hammer, but not really knowing it...

Needed- A Return To The Principles of The Old Right

Continuing to Write.

The novel is continuing to grow. I have gotten past a particularly difficult part and am ready to sail along at a good pace until I encounter the next difficult portion. There haven't been any real delays lately but taking the time to write in the evenings is sometimes challenging when other tasks seem more pressing. Since my wife does most of my typing and proofreading, I have to wait until her schedule is free to find out exactly how much closer I am to my goal of being finished. I still have...

Novel Update.

As promised, I am keeping my friends up to date on the progress of my novel. I have completed almost 10 pages since my last post and I am very proud of that fact. It may seem like such a small amount of progress but at this rate, it may only take 6 months instead of 2 years to complete it. I am not totally convinced that I am doing everything correctly with this effort, but I am trying to learn as I go. Another Chapter Down

I have completed another chapter in my novel and a lot of interesting questions have come up. When I first took up pen and paper to attempt to write a novel, I began with chapter lengths of about 5 pages. This last chapter I wrote has in excess of 20 pages. Do all chapters need to be the approximately the same length? My wife like to have short chapters so she can read an entire chapter before going to bed. When I read a book, I don't worry about how long a chapter is because I will lay the book...
