| | Just Another UpdateI had some writing courses in community college and the university. I had an article published in the community college newspaper and came in second in an essay contest. My wife was an English major in college and she helps me a lot with my grammer. I discussed the contest angle with her and she agrees that it couldn't hurt anything to try but she thinks my stories might be to long. |

| | Just Another UpdateYou've been doing a lot of work and finding those resources must be a Godsend for you. Have you thought about taking some writing courses at a nearby community college? |

| | Just Another UpdateI think I'm between half and two-thirds finished it. I printed out the first section and with the pictures, it's 45 pages. I have the next three sections done. They are bigger than chapters, I think, so I don't know whether to divide them into smaller sections or just leave them. It's only three of the nine times I was there, but I won't do each one separately. The last time was only a week and I only went to get a statue for my aunt. |

| | Just Another UpdateThat's great. You should think about having it published because there is a big demand for that kind of book. How far along are you and when do you think it will be finished? |

| | Just Another UpdateThat sounds very helpful, Billy. I'm writing a book too. Not for publication, just for my sons. It's an account of my travels in Israel. I was over there nine times between November 1979 and November 1992. If I decide to try and publish it, I'll contact you! ![]() |

| | Novel InspirationI understand that your novel's town has a fictional name, but I see Lexington is pretty far South of Indy. Are you familiar with the Grant County area? That is where I lived (for the past 20 years now) and we have the history of the lynchings of 3 black men and the Battle of Missisinewa from the War of 1812 in our past. It is just a curiosity, not that it fits into your novel ( unlesss the charcters take control again. Keep on writing, looks good so far. |
