Just Another Update

Since I have set out on this adventure, I decided that I would need a little help to make it work. I very seldom ask anyone else for assistance in anything I do, so I turned to the next best thing, the written word (not the Bible, other written words). My wife had a magazine she bought a few years ago called “Get Published” from Writer’s Digest and I confiscated it from her. It is chock full of information, from getting started all the way to getting published and eventually paid for your efforts....

Latest Novel Update

I have been told by one of the characters that it’s time again for an update on my novel’s progress. They seem to be running the show now so I had better listen to them.

One of the primary characters has gone on a trip to Brooklyn, NY and seems to be doing very well for himself. He was taken from his large comfortable farm in rural Indiana and is trying to adjust to the big city. Novel Inspiration

Now that I have your interest, I will give you some background about how I came up with the idea for the story.

The town actually exists, but by a different name, and is the town that I grew up in. When they printed a book about the history of the town for the 175th anniversary (in 1990), there was a comment in it that said Morgan’s raiders came through town to steal horses (since they were cavalry, that part makes sense). Novel Synopsis

I promised a synopsis of the novel I am writing, so here it is:

In the year before the Civil War began, the small town of Salinas, Indiana was starting a period of growth that could turn this farming community into a small city. The driving force behind the growth was the combined effort of two hard-working farmers with a vision to make Salinas one of the major cities in southern Indiana.

would anyone be interested in talking to book,and hobby sellers about the overwhelming german and japanese books and models on the market.The other day i got a catalog from an american company selling figures and models of ss and german waffa ss.plus japs.i was under the impression we won the war against these murderers,why in gods name are we selling stuff about them.history books can tell us what they did we don't need toys about evil.anyone want to help thanks
