| NCO ![]() | ![]() It's a "Lamsteed Kampkar" made by Anhauser Bush (yes, the beer people) in 1915. This one belongs to a couple from Australia who had it shipped to California and they are in the process of driving it to the 100 year celebration of the Model T in Indiana. So far, they have made it all the way to St. Louis Mo. We members of the Model T Club are "babysitting" them across America by providing them with places to camp and any parts they may need. It was restored to "perfect" condition before they left but it's 93 years old it has suffered a few aches and pains (breakdowns) along the way.I would venture to say that this is the ONLY 1915 Lamsteed Kampkar left in the world that is still driveable. There were only a couple hundred of these things made in the first place! He sent his last post to the forum from a McDonalds parking lot on a Lap Top, now there's a generational stretch for you. ![]() Good grief! I won't drive my Model T any farther away from the garage than I care to walk back from.

| NCO ![]() | Motorhomes were pretty down to earth 93 years ago. ![]() No sink, no bathroom, just fold-out beds on both sides. Did you notice the water fawcet sticking out the side in the first picture, at least it had it's own water but you better be real carefu how you park it. ![]()

| NCO ![]() | Most modern cars with automatic transmissions can be driven with one foot. A Model T requires both feet because you have to use all 3 pedals on the floor at (almost) the same time. The one on the right is the brake in the transmission. The one in the middle is reverse and the one on the left is low and high gear. Talk about "herding cats", this thing has 4 pedals! ![]() ![]() It's very heavy because of that wood body and it has an extra set of brakes on the rear wheels along with the brake in the trasmission and the ones operated by the emergency brake lever you can see part of in the picture. Like all Model T's, it has NO front brakes and is still subject to the biggest Model T flaw, in a "panic stop", it will just leave 2 little, skinny, skid marks right up to whatever it smashes into.

| NCO ![]() | We had our monthly car show today. We also had our usual Florida afternoon rain storm. My ol' lady is waterproof, (that's her standing in the rain behind behind the car) the engine in our car isn't and it might not start if all that old fabric wiring gets too wet. ![]() As the storm got worse and the rain began blowing sideways, I closed the hood and we climbed into our nice, comfortable sedan. The folks in the 26 Touring Car didn't bring their side curtans and they were taking a bath!, so we loaned them the umbrella. ![]() The car on the left is a 37 Nash Lafyette. Most people have never even heard of a Nash, much less one that's been turned into a "chopped" Hot Rod. That's a REAL "426 Hemi" Dodge Coronet on the right. Old Farts down here got way too much "disposable income". ![]()
