| Snake-eater ![]() | My first car. A 1965 Pontiac GTO. What a sweet ride it was. ![]() This is not actually my car, but it is the same make and model as the one I had to sell when I left for VN. This one is on the market for $48,500, I sold mine for $1,500 and thought I got a good deal. Same color with white convertible top and white leather upholstery. After I returned, I got into sports cars.

| Junior Officer ![]() | That is one of my favorites as well. Did the goat have vacuum or mechanical Trip's? I knew someone that had the lower headlights removed and has a ram induction type of air cleaner set up on the induction. So many good muscle cars, so little time to drive them...

| NCO ![]() | I've had so many cars over the years that are now on the high dollar list that it's really depressing to watch the Barrett-Jackson Auctions. 37 Ford coupe 41 Chevy coupe 51 Ford Victoria 51 Ford Country Squire (Woodie wagon) 54 Chevy 5 window pick-up 55 Merc Conv. 57 Chevy 65 Ford pick-up 65 Pontiac Tempest 65 Mustang Coupe 67 Caddy Conv. (to name a few) Back in the days when I sold them, these were just old used cars. I'm going to hang on to my 27 Ford for a while. DJH

| Snake-eater ![]() | To tell you the truth, that was over 40 years ago and I don't remember. The car was bought new by a good friend of mine in the Army and he sold it to me when it was less than a year old. He got married and his wife told him to get rid of it and buy a station wagon. It was a great car and I hated to see it go. It made quite a few trips from Ft. Bragg to NY and never failed me once. It was definitely good for picking up women, it was definitely a chick magnet.

| Racy Ol' Lady ![]() | My first car was a sports car - MG, TD style. Give gears forward, right hand drive, fortunately with a turn signal, making it easy to pass the car in front of me, and I had a heavy foot. She was a sweet lass and I had a lot of fun with that car. I got pregnant with our first son while I had the car and it had a collapsible steering wheel. As the baby grew, my father would push it in to the next spot and I drove it the day before Ad was born. Over a bumpy road, which may have hastened his arrival! I still dream of that car.
