| Junior Officer   |  What I would not do for one of these... To this day I remember the first Corvette I ever saw. I was coming around the corner of a gas station in the neighborhood when I saw it. It was the forth generation of the Corvette. My jaw dropped, I had never seen one before and it was instant love at first site. My neighbor was the head of a speed equipment store back then, and actually ran his decommissioned 68 Chevelle that ran in the mid to high 10's in the quarter mile. He ran that car on the streets while he built the next one, a 70 1/2 Camaro that his new sponser had perchased. That car was running in the Super Stock catagory, the hightest one for gas burning cars. That was just befor Pro Stock replaced it for the stop class. That was an awesome care for a teenager to ride in. Who cared about girls, I was in a street legal, mid 10 sec car.  But seeing that first Corvette started a love affair which is still with me today. I have a feeling that they will still be building them when I am gone. But there are two models that I covet the most.  And of course the ZR1

Now, if you want to go for sheer horsepower, check out the Mustang sitting next to my Model T   It's got a damn near 1,000 HP 460" Ford big block in it and it's street driveable. Yes, there's wheelie bars in the back of it. I've got a busy day coming up in a few hours, I've got to see if the Model T want's go to another car show today. We hold a car show on the first Sat. of every month and you wouldn't believe the stuff that's on the streets in south Florida, we have bonafide "Pro Street" cars drivin around out here! When you're driving an 80 year old car, it has the final vote, it's no fun walking home.
