Then wouldn't it make sense to go after what constitutes the other 90% of the CO2 emissions?

AND the simple fact that somebody who can afford a Porsche SUV can HAVE IT!, it's called "Capitalism".
If MY Ford Explorer budget could withstand the price of one, I'd take a distinct pleasure in roasting the tires off it!

But then most of us don't have the disposable income that it takes to own a Porsche SUV.
