I saw in the paper the other day that Delphi has 1 supervisor for every 5 hourly
employees. The GM plant I worked in had 1 for every 15 employees. Now that
they've cut back to one shift without cutting any supervisors, they have 1 for
every 7 hourly. IIRC, the average for non-big 3 manufacturing is 1 supervisor
for every 50 hourly.
