factory alarm

Anyone know if the factory alarm on a 05 monte carlo will go off if
someone breaks a window? The manual doesn't really say.

no it will not. anything that can fit thru a window is fair game. open a
doorlatch switch and the result will be a horn toot. and everyone pays mind
to that, dont they? GM could put tamper sensors and siren alarms on there
midpriced models but to many trinkets would pull it out of midpriced range
very quickly. GM is already in a pickle with asian comp. now. (of course
bloated managment salary and increasing retirement payouts isnt helping
much! thee who digs the hole is the one who will have to figure out an
escape from said hole, unless you are Lee Iacoca.)......kjun, sorry for
offtopic rant
