Default GM / Honda response about falling Feb sales

Both GM and Honda sales fell in Feb. What was the response of each
company?

Honda: Our second best selling model, the civic, is an old design now
and no longer competitive, we will redesign it for next year.

GM: It was cold and snowing thus sales were down (although
Toyota/Nissan seemed to do quite well). We are hopeing this global
warming thing takes off soon so it doesn't snow anymore and our sales
will go up.

Which company would you invest in? Ever wonder why toyota/honda/nissan
are kicking GM and Ford to the trash?

That and a lot of the design crew are women so that means sh*tty designs
and dinky interiors. No room for Harry Face's 55 gallon hick cowboy hat!

Sales of both GM and Ford individually, in cars and trucks, far
exceed those of Toyota Honda and Nissan COMBINED in cars and
trucks, let alone in individual sales of each brand in cars and
trucks. Get real

I was waiting to see if Mike Hunt would respond to this post and just how
badly he would miss the point.

You didn't disappoint Mike.

Thanks,

Chuck in Phoenix

It seems you are the one missing the point. You comment is an
attempt to denigrate GM in a GM, NG but you premise is flawed.
GM market share is indeed dropping but the fact remains the
market is growing, and GM is not loosing total annual sales. It
is only doping in it share of the ever growing market and the
every growing number of players in the market. The fact you are
overlooking is GM is selling MORE cars and truck annually than at
anytime in the history of GM, period. No other manufacture, with
the exception of Ford, even if their sales number are increasing,
and/or their share of the market is increasing, sells anything
near the number of vehicles annually, as does GM. The largest
share held by ANY import brand, Toyota, is just over 10%. That
is less than 1/3 of GM share. In fact GM sells more trucks than
Ford in the US, than all Toyotas divisions sells both cars and
trucks combined in the US.
