| Civilians | this morning i was driving and as i was driving, the check engine light flicked on, then off almost imediately... then at the same time a light right above the gas guage flicked as well, so fast i couldnt tell what it was... I had more then 1/2 a tank of gas at the time. Anyway... about 2 hours later, i was accelerating to highway speed and the car bucked, and jerked before kicking into speed... the service engine light came on and stayed on.... until i shut the car off when i started it back up, the light was off.... the car had no problem reaching highway speed after that...... my questions are: 1) what is the light above the gas guage, i couldnt find it in the manual. I had more then 1/2 a tank of gas at the time. 2) any idea what the buck was? 1990 Buick Century v9 3.3 liter engine 65,000 miles. |

| Civilians | Try shinging a flashlight in the area where the light is, maybe you'll see the outline. | Civilians | sounds like a fuel problem. Try some fuel injector cleaner. CD2 is good one. If an injector is clogged, it will cause misfires. That i why the SES light would come on then go off. The code is stored i your computer- scan for codes. It will most likely show a cylinde misfire |
