| Civilians | I have 2 spare winter tires for my van. Is it a bad idea to mix two winter tires with 2 all season tires? I would put them in the front (front wheel drive Venture van). Also, will winter tires improve my stopping distance on icy surface or are they only good for stopping on snow surface? |

| Civilians | I think it is neither good neither bad idea, you just have to be aware that the van has more slippery wheels at back and that this requires more attention on snow or ice, otherwise or your butt will overtake your front ![]() It happend to me on snow at speed ~55 miles/l (90km/h) on a highway. Stupid me, driving too fast at the time! Regards and all the very best! Happy New Year! Klemen "lbbss" <lbbs @dadffo.ca> wrote in message news:2noyd.324$0y4.83@read1.cgocable.net...
