| Civilians | Which service is the best? I am selling a car and would like to not only print up a vehicle history report for my car, but also check VINs for cars I am interested in buying. Interestingly, AutoCheck has 17 records for my car while CARFAX only has 7 making me thing AutoCheck might be the best service. http://www.autocheck.com/ http://www.carfax.com/ Thanks, BTJustice |

| Civilians | I think it's kinda like credit reporting agencies... there will always be some *little* differences. I got an Autocheck sub the last time just because it was 2 months for 24.99 rather than just 1. But just for giggles I ran a VIN of a car I K N E W had been totalled, and neither service reported it. | Civilians | Do those services only work if your car has been serviced at the dealerships ? How many years of service do they go back to? ========= Harryface ========= 1991 Pontiac Bonneville LE 3800 V6 ( C ), Black/Slate Grey _~_~_~295,965 miles_~_~_ ~_~_~_~_U.S.A._~_~_~_~_~_ ~~~The Former Fleet ~~~ 89 Cavalier Z 24 convertible 78 Holiday 88 coupe 68 LeSabre convertible 73 Impala sedan |

| Civilians | Did those extra 10 records revealing anything meaningful or relevant? In other words, did those extra 10 records reveal anything which would significantly reduce the value of the car? | Civilians | Not really. Just more vehicle history and such. I would be curious to have someone with a CARFAX account run my VIN number and e-mail me the report which in turn I would run a VIN number for them with AutoCheck. If anyone is interested, first come first serve, e-mail me (my name below + @gmx.net).
