Default AutoCheck v. CARFAX

Which service is the best? I am selling a car and would like to not only
print up a vehicle history report for my car, but also check VINs for cars I
am interested in buying.

Interestingly, AutoCheck has 17 records for my car while CARFAX only has 7
making me thing AutoCheck might be the best service.

http://www.carfax.com/

Thanks,
BTJustice

I think it's kinda like credit reporting agencies... there will always be
some *little* differences.

I got an Autocheck sub the last time just because it was 2 months for 24.99
rather than just 1.

But just for giggles I ran a VIN of a car I K N E W had been totalled,
and neither service reported it.

Did those extra 10 records revealing anything meaningful or relevant? In other words,
did those extra 10 records reveal anything which would significantly reduce the value
of the car?

Not really. Just more vehicle history and such. I would be curious to have
someone with a CARFAX account run my VIN number and e-mail me the report
which in turn I would run a VIN number for them with AutoCheck. If anyone
is interested, first come first serve, e-mail me (my name below + @gmx.net).

Someone responded. After comparing the 2 reports, it seems AutoCheck has
more information but CARFAX is more simplified. From what I have seen, both
are good, but AutoCheck shows more information.
