Default Pontiac Vibe keys

Anyone know whether the ignition key for a Vibe has the embedded resistor
(anti-theft..) of regular GM models? The manual suggests that it does, but
everything else is Toyota Matrix which I don't think does. I'd rather not
have to go to the dealer for a replacement 2nd set ($$$), but my local key
guy says he isn't sure
