Default Kansas City would be the ideal place to put the NASCAR hall of fame

Isn't it about in the middle of the country? That way it would be more
accessible to more people and people would not have to travel as far to
get to it.

Why put it in NC anyway? Sure, if it was in Charlotte Lowe's Motor
Speedway would be near. But what would they tell people about
Rockingham and Wilkesboro? "NASCAR used to have 2 races a year at both
of them but they don't have any anymore because they needed to expand
their fan base by moving to other tracks around the US." Sure wouldn't
expect many to make those trips from Charlotte (or Raleigh for that
matter) to go sit at those 2 ghost tracks.

I torn between Daytona and Charlotte. Daytona would be a good place as it is
the birthplace of NASCAR. Yet, North Carolina is where NASCAR really got
going with the moonshiner drivers. So either is a good choice.

How about Talladega, Alabama?

Talladega AFAIK didn't submit a proposal. I believe Atlanta Daytona
Richmond Charlotte and KC are the candidates. Living in Kansas and
having PSLs to Kansas I guess I'm hoping Kansas gets it. The 2 points
favoring Kansas is its location with near I-70 and I-35 you have a
destination for traffic travelling from coast to coast and from Canada
to Mexico plus it's an ISC facility. Not saying thats the reason why it
should be in Kansas just why it might end up in Kansas.

Could you explain what part of the Pacific coast is served by I-70?

Why not put it in KC? They were stupid enough to put the Rock
Hall in Cleveland, of all places. Then they screwed it up but
good, with people like the Bee Gees.

Under your theory Indianapolis would be an ideal spot. It has I-70 which
runs East and West like you mentioned. Yet, it has I-65 which goes North and
South. Which is closer to the NASCAR area than I-35.
