Some of you don't care for burnouts, and it's everyone's option. However, the crowd doesn't seem to mind at all. It's usually the loudest crowd reaction all night, which to me shows approval of the ones that are there. If you were to ask Lil K's she'd tell you that all her friends think I'm the "cool dad." ;-) Growing up is a state of mind. Burn out tend to cause damage in one form or another. As I've gotten older I've come to realize that I have more important things to do with my money then replace tires and repair tranys and engines. As to race car drivers doing burn outs. Again it cost money. There are a lot of people who work very hard to build those engines and cars and If I were a driver I wouldn't want to disrespect those people by damaging or destroying their work product just for a few minutes of smoke production. I personally prefer the reverse victory lap (not because of AK) because it gives the driver and fans a chance to connect and celebrate a win. If NASCAR would move victory lane, I'd much prefer the driver stop right there under the flag stand and get out on the front stretch to celebrate with the fans. Stepping down and putting the soap box away for now. ;-) -- Rob Q: "What did the redneck say right before he died?" A: "Hey ya'all watch this!!" |

Burn outs are a kin to the ignorant end zone dances we see in Football. -- Rob Q: "What did the redneck say right before he died?" A: "Hey ya'all watch this!!" |

And getting more immature and childish every week, just like the throwing of liquids in Victory Lane! Any kid over 6 wouldn;t act that childish! Whatever happened to the slow victory lap!
