Default DW's pre-race dig at Tony

did anyone else notice it, i could have been reading too much into it, but
it seemed pretty blatant, especially given everything else this season so
far.

they were talking to kasey kahne about 2nd place finishes, DW asked if he
remembered who finished second at the daytona 500 and without waiting for an
answer said "me neither" with a smug look on his face. tony finished second
at the 500, him and jr were the only ones in contention so it wasn't just a
random piece of trivia that nobody would know. maybe i'm reading too much
into it.

good thing DW can hide behind the fact that ESPN has all of the footage from
most of DW's career. i'm not sticking up for tony, especially after what
happened again today, but DW should just drop it already, just because tony
doesn't kiss his butt...

Yeah, I was also thinking about Tony finishing 2nd and how that could
have been a cheap shot by DW, if so, Tony probably deserved it for
treating good ole' DW the way he did before. Tony, respect your elders!

lol, DW should be the last one to criticize somebody for finishing 2nd in a
race, considering he finished about 10 laps down in every race he was in
during his last few years. Not to mention how he singlehandedly changed the
championship provisional rule in NASCAR forever...

You're joking, right? All I heard Sunday at Sonoma was DW saying
"Tony just got a little loose, he didn't mean it," or "Tony couldn't
make the turn and he tried to miss Ward Burton; he just barely clipped
him." DW sounds like he is trying his hardest to kiss TS's butt to
me.
Although there was a great dig during Happy Hour coverage. They were
saying how Tony Stewart was pushing for more road races during the Cup
schedule. Mike Joy said something about how the idea is gaining
momentum. DW replied "I think they talked about that at the end of
the drivers' meeting last week." All the announcers laughed, and Mike
Joy said "We will get letters about that one. Oh, well." Did anyone
else catch it?
