Default My solution for Buschwhacking

if enough busch regulars show up to fill the field, they are the field. they
have preference.

if not, the nextel regulars qualify to get the last positions in the starting
lineup....they can race to the front providing the excitement nascar wants from
them in the busch races.

Solution? I wasn't aware there was a problem. NBS races, to the promotors,
are about ticket sales. An NBS field with Cup drivers in it will typically
sell more tickets. I'd call that a lot of things, but a problem requiring a
solution would not be one of the the things.

Example: How many NNC drivers can you name? Okay, good, prolly 20 or more.
Now, how many NBS drivers can you name? Hmmm...that wasn't more than about
5-10. My point exactly...bigger, more well known names in an event, sell
more tickets, period. Racing, to the sanctioning bodies and promoters, is a
business. Racing, to the owners, drivers and teams, is ALSO a business, so
the more you can get into, the more money you can win. I can't see anyone
but a few fans here, seeing bushcwhackers as a problem.

There is a major problem, many here ignore or are not aware
of. If NASCAR tried to prevent or greatly limit Cup divers from
entering BGN, they would be sued so fast and have NO chance of
winning! They may not be the smartest guys around, but they are not
that dumb.

Where I come from, if your car fits the rules of the racetrack and series,
and you are a qualified driver, you are free to enter the race. To run a
race any other way is discriminatory. I'm not saying I like seeing the top
five of most BGN races filled with names like Harvick, Kennseth, Burton, et
al....but in my world, a race is supposed to be open for anyone that
qualifies to run in it.
