Default Why no flip

What is wrong with him doing flips, that NASCAR would tell not to, other
than he could get hurt doing the flips'?

"Edwards then stopped his truck in front of the main grandstand, waved his
arms to pump up the big crowd and did his trademark stunt on the edge of the
track. That was his way of getting around NASCAR, which had warned him not
to do the flip off the bed of his truck."

NASCAR is obviously afraid of someone getting hurt.

I can't type that without laughing at them.

I'd say insurance reasons. He might sue NASCAR and/or the track (Owned by
the France family) if he hurt himself.

Just what they need on National Television, Carl Edwards' foot slips while
doing back flip off truck and lands on head on track. I can see the headlines
now.

If he gets hurt doing the back flip off the truck , does the first runner-up
serve the rest of his term?

So they have guys driving 700 hp vehicles into each other at 190 mph and
spinning 'round and 'round and they're not worried about that, but a guy
does a back flip, and that's dangerous??

I guess the "mosh pit" dive into the arms of the crew will be the next to
go.

really no worse than a driver taking his pitcrew for a ride on the
hood.....or drivers driving drunk during the off hours, or beating up
reporters, or.......or.......
