Post The Fighting Saints Battalion Commissioning Ceremony

The Fighting Saints Battalion
Winter 2007 Commissioning Ceremony

It’s a busy weekend for me, tomorrow my daughter graduates with her MBA and today cousin’s son in law, Tim,
graduated ROTC and received his commission as Second Lieutenant in a ceremony at Saint Cloud State University.

OATH OF OFFICE
I Timothy R. Biocic, having been appointed an
Officer in the Army of the United States, in the
Grade of Second Lieutenant, do solemnly
Swear that I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all
Enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear
True faith and allegiance to the same, that I
Take this obligation freely, without any mental
Reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I
will well and faithfully discharge the duties of
the office upon witch I am about to enter
.
SO HELP ME GOD!

Tim’s uncle and his wife (my cousin’s daughter) pined on his bars.

Tim’s first salute was given by my cousin’s boyfriend and Vietnam veteran.

These four young men received there commission today.

My son Alex gave Tim an NCO guide for a gift. Apparently this is sort of an inside joke for an enlisted man
and non-commissioned officers to give this guide to officers upon there commissioning. Alex and Tim are close friends.

We are a very close family…

You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass.
