Default Tankers in Ft Carson

Can anyone tell me what life is like for a tanker is at FT. Carson. The reason I ask is because I am a National Guard 19K, and am considering Active Duty. I love the army, and I really enjoy myself "Tankin' " Not only that It can be pretty difficult finding a good paying job with benifits here in Michigan. My wife said that it sounded cool but she would like to stay somewhat north. She is not sure that she could live with the heat from Texas or Georgia. So I am going to talk to a recruiter and see what I can do. Another option that a friend told me is to check into Ft. Riley. This may have to wait until I ETS in '06. Because my unit is low strenghed.

Yeah Michigan rocks!!

Well im a scout at carson but the tankers usually do about the same thing day to day. Can you say "motor pool"? thats alot of what you'll be doing. Field time on the other hand i'm not sure. we do different stuff than the tankers obviously. If you have any specific questions pm me i'll try to answer them. i can send yu some pics of the area too if you want.
