If the politicos really wanted to ensure quality health care for everyone in this country, they'd be spending a lot more time and effort in reforming the litigation process here. As long as lawyers can strongarm anyone into "paying up", the cost of everything will continue to skyrocket. Most defendants simply do a "settlement", rather than go to trial, because of the ridiculous costs of a trial. And the price of this system is transferred to us schmucks down here at the bottom of the heap (you know, the average working stiffs without whom this whole house of greed would collapse).
The more foolish plans you dream up & tax the people to pay for, is the less money the people have. Eventually, you're going to find yourself with no one to tax to pay for these plans. Then what do you do?
