Re: Anybody here currently at Knox? (besides basic training) Paul,
I just registered here on trackpads and I noticed your request. I've been her for 4 1/2 years all of which at 1st ATB (now the 194th ATB). They need instructors pretty bad especially if you are a 19K. If so, chances are good that you will go to 2/81. Also, they're really looking at cross training young NCO's from Kilos to Deltas ( I'm sure you you are tracking that) as well as certifiying you on the Stryker.
FT. Knox is the place to take care of your civilian and military education - take advantage of it! Please let me give you one bit of advice; do not become too complacent with the lower stress environment! Being an instructor has many advantages - like not getting shot at for one! However I have personally seen five very good NCO's get into trouble and loose or damage their career. The primary rank of all of those NCO's were SGT/SSG.I do wish you the best of luck. Feel free to reach me if you need some help getting around!! |
