Re: A White Oppressor? Who Me? It would be interesting, wouldn't it, to have Martin Luther King, Jr. witness this. He was a man with a cause - racial equality. The other day, I received an email of hate aimed at him - that same old canard about his name being "Michael" something-or-other; saying he was a complete fraud. (This, despite the "Jr." at the end of his name.) I imagine most of us have had that missile pass before our eyes. Oh - yes. This came from a person who declares a total lack of anyl prejudice, although the prejudice is obvious.
I suggest that he was a gentleman; a man who wanted peaceful acceptance as a member of the human race - one race, one people, and all equal.
This woman, Dr. Robin Chandler, very likely spews forth great admiration for him, and calls on his name as an example. She does this from a deep pit of ignorance about him and all he stood for.
