Finally a coherent, erudite evaluation of the history, attitudes, and general mindset of what the Islamic peoples of the Mid-east are truly up against. Even though I have followed the situation there since post 9/11, I believe I have now...at last...gained a much better comprehension of the scope of the upheaval there. Even though I still believe that the entrance into this fray by the United States was based on false premises, I am re-thinking my position on the continued need for the US to remain for yet a while longer. It would be an error for us to leave until a workable stability is achieved in Iraq. However, I still believe that if the US is going to complete the job we have taken on there, it needs to be done more effectively.
