Sure, if the website is a marketing vehicle, that is, if its purpose is to
position an organization and its products/services, to generate leads, to
create sales opportunities. If so, then
seo is as much a part of marketing
as wordsmithing, graphics creation, campaign planning, product planning,
etc. etc. etc.
