 Re: Too many medals?
From what I have seen and read the military gives away the non-valor medals easily, perhaps doing away with some of the lesser ones are best. The valor medals should stand as is, let the actions speak for themselves and let the reviews of the situations be the judgement as to whether or not the valor medels are awarded. I think changing who gives the medels out in the chain of command might change what medels are awarded so that it would lessen the cheapening of some medel lest more Jessical Lynch situations emerge. Just my humble opinion, but a reform might help alot. |
