Re: Death row inmate removed from death row I hope the Gov. Kernan of Indiana is doing just what his title indicates, governing. I noted with interest that an additional eight cases were pending.
If a Governor sits for four or eight years without overturning one or two death sentences, that I think should be more cause for concern than one or two being overturned.
I personally oppose the death penalty. Not on moral or religious grounds. I would like for those that would meet the criteria for the death penalty to live out the rest of their natural lives, locked up, with minimal amenities, and be reminded daily of just why you cannot ever be a free member of society. |
