)... My wife and I went on vacation this summer to Lake Placid, for the first time. While I sat across the street from the hockey arena, the sign outside the place said "Lake Placid Remembers Herb Brooks"... I was like "Is it his birthday?"... I grabbed a newpaper, and the report of his death (car accident) was on the front page. It was kinda strange. Never been to Lake Placid before, we're sitting across from the actual arena where it happened, and hearing about him dying the same day we got there. We had just seen a documentary on the team a couple months before. He was a cool dude... A great leader. You should check it out... I remember watching those Olympic Games... It was all about the hockey team.
